Multi-Omics Data Mining of Vegetables in South China Team

There are 6 members and 1 postdoctoral fellow in our team. It is the first to assemble the genome of wax gourd and Luffa in the world and analyze the evolutionary relationship of Cucurbitaceae crops. The team has won 1 first prize, 1 second prize, and 1 science popularization prize of China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, 4 second prizes and 2 third prizes of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award, 1 first prize of Guangdong Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress Award, 1 first prize and 2 second prizes of Guangdong Provincial Agricultural Technology Promotion Award. In addition, 14 national invention patents were authorized, more than 90 scientific papers were published, and 21 new varieties were approved.
